Hattie C. Cooper grew up in northern California where she spent the majority of her childhood in the orthodontist chair or band practice. After wearing headgear in first grade she realized she wanted more out of life and pursued a BA in English, a minor in Psychology, and a MFA in Creative Writing. She loves animals, tea, nature, Jim Lovell, and Balvenie Doublewood single malt scotch. Hattie wishes she owned some sheep.
Hattie released her debut romance novel, Silent Memories, in January 2015 and The Anxious Girl's Guide to Dating book in July 2015. The Anxious Girl’s Guide to Dating blog was started in hopes of sharing dating experiences and advice with the world of anxiety-prone people. Hattie has Generalized Anxiety Disorder and previously struggled with phobia disorders. She's also pretty sure she has IBS. |
Living with anxiety is difficult enough, but dating with anxiety sometimes feels impossible. Few things made Hattie more aware of her anxiety than trying to date. It took her years of baby steps to enter the world of dating. And while the anecdotes and advice is from her own perspective, that in no way is meant to limit the audience.
All genders, ages, sexual orientations, and perspectives are welcome. Nothing said here should ever replace professional medical advice. Hattie is here to share insights in an effort to do what all writing tries to do: to remind us we are all alone together. Thanks for reading — and welcome! |
